A remarkably light 32-inch XC rim for its diameter, designed to improve rollover and stability without sacrificing efficiency or precision.
Lucky Jack SLS5 32-inch applies the DUKE approach to the larger diameter: exploit improved rollover and greater stability without unnecessarily compromising acceleration and changes of pace.
Moving to 32 inches changes several mechanical parameters at once. The larger diameter increases leverage on the rim and wheel, raises inertia at equivalent mass and changes spoke geometry.
The tyre-rim interface also becomes more sensitive: pressure, bead retention and the risk of de-beading need to be controlled with greater precision.
Lucky Jack 32” is therefore not simply an enlarged Lucky Jack 29”. Its structure and dimensioning have been adapted to these constraints to preserve the behaviour expected from a high-end XC wheel.
Three rims cover two levels of commitment. The 360 g i31 mm is our reference front choice for XC: it maximises tyre support and control while keeping weight as low as possible. The 400 g i31 keeps the same width but adds margin for more demanding riders, terrain or bikes.
At the rear, the 410 g i29 prioritises a slightly rounder tyre profile, robustness and efficiency. Its wider rim edges (AntiPinch) minimise the risk of punctures: a crucial factor in 32 inches, where lower tyre pressures increase the risk of pinch punctures.
This logic follows our 6TERS approach: the front wheel guides, the rear wheel drives. A wider front rim improves tyre support, directional stability and grip; a slightly narrower rear rim promotes efficiency and impact resistance under load.
The SLS5 process combines an optimised carbon-fibre lay-up with an aerospace-grade resin. Compared with SLS4, weight is reduced by 10% and vertical compliance increases by 15%. The wheel filters vibration more effectively and remains calmer on rough terrain, with no loss of lateral stiffness.
SpokeCore forms the spoke holes directly during moulding, avoiding drilling through the fibres after manufacture. ImpactGuard adds energy-absorbing inserts to the structure. DRC controls vertical deformation and rebound to preserve grip and precision.
AntiPinch rim edges help reduce the risk of tyre cuts under impact, while AntiBurp reinforces tyre retention under low-pressure cornering loads. Hookless / Tubeless Ready construction retains the proven logic of our XC rims.
The 4 mm Offset geometry helps balance tension between the two spoke sides and preserve lateral stiffness, stability and reliability, a particularly important point as wheel diameter increases.
The result is a 32-inch platform designed for courses where rollover, stability and the ability to carry momentum take on particular importance, while remaining light enough to accelerate, climb and change pace.
In 2026, Felix Stehli won a Cape Epic stage on a Stoll P32 equipped with Lucky Jack 32-inch wheels: real-world validation that the larger diameter can already meet the demands of racing when the wheel is properly engineered.
