Strada 36 CX-Carbon Edition pushes the versatile mountain wheel concept into a more exclusive territory: an ultralight, more direct and more precise build, while preserving the stability that makes the 36 mm profile so relevant.
The 36 mm profile is the versatile mountain option in the Strada range: more stable and faster than a pure climbing profile, while remaining easy to manage on long climbs and frequent pace changes.
Based on the SLR5 process, the road adaptation of our high-performance SLS5 MTB technology, the rim combines Toray T1100 fibres, aerospace-grade resin and a highly precise layup to achieve a benchmark weight / stiffness / reliability ratio.
DRC (Dynamic Response Comfort) filters vibrations and keeps power transfer smooth over long distances. SpokeCore passages, moulded directly into the structure, improve homogeneity and long-term durability.
The Offset geometry balances spoke tension and improves lateral stiffness. With its 25 mm internal width, the rim fully supports modern 28-30 mm tyres for grip, comfort and efficiency without compromise.
This CX-Carbon Edition combines DUKE Elite carbon rims with Sapim CX-Carbon 365 spokes and DUKE MadMax3 T365 hubs. The benefit is not only weight: the build lowers rotating mass, sharpens steering precision and delivers a more immediate response at every acceleration.
The Sapim CX-Carbon 365 uses an ultralight carbon structure and a 3.0 × 1.5 mm aerodynamic teardrop profile. Its very low elongation - around 0.43 mm at 1200 N - limits energy loss under pedalling load and gives the wheelset a particularly direct feel.
The 20-spoke front / 24-spoke rear layout keeps weight extremely low without giving up lateral stiffness. The front wheel keeps a precise road feel, while the rear wheel remains stable under power during sprints and hard accelerations.
DUKE MadMax3 T365 hubs use a dedicated interface for the 3.65 × 5.5 mm T-head format of the CX-Carbon spoke. They complete the build with a high-end mechanical platform that matches the level of this edition.

Sapim Spokes
Sapim is THE go-to spoke brand, manufactured in Belgium since 1918. Several spoke models are available, depending on compatibility with your riding style and chosen rim:- Sapim CX-Ray: flat spoke, very light, durable, aerodynamic, and offers a very dynamic ride feel (309g / 64 pcs / 292mm)
- Sapim CX-Sprint: flat spoke similar to the CX-Ray but thicker for even more stiffness (373g / 64 pcs / 292mm)
- Sapim D-Light: round spoke, light and durable, with a central section diameter of 1.65mm, good value for money (344g / 64 pcs / 292mm)
- Sapim Race: round spoke, strong and stiff with a central section diameter of 1.8mm (408g / 64 pcs / 292mm)
Nipples

Accessories
The wheels are delivered fully assembled with valves and rim tape installed, four spare spokes and nipples, and an assembly certificate.
All Duke by JPRACINGBIKE1 wheels are assembled by hand in Vendée, France.

With our Crash Replacement offer we offer you a service that allows you to replace your rim under special conditions: You get a 50 percent discount on the price of UD carbon & 3k Carbon rim, as well as the parts and the disassembly/reassembly. This offer is valid (for life) for an unlimited period of time for DUKE carbon rims and is transferable in the event of sale of the wheels to a third party.
