DUKE RIM CORE RR50

Core RR 50 is the fastest version in our third carbon tier.

In DUKE’s road hierarchy, it sits below Strada in the Elite range and below Baccara X / Baccara RX in the Performance range. Its philosophy is deliberately simpler: less sophistication than our higher ranges, but quality carbon construction, sound technical choices and a build capable of offering an excellent performance-to-price ratio.

With a 50 mm depth, 450 g per rim and a 23 mm internal width, Core RR 50 prioritises carrying speed. It brings more inertia and depth than Core RR 40, making it suited to fast routes, long rolling sections and riders who appreciate the feel of a deep-section wheel.

From 1,489 g per pair, it can serve as a first speed-focused carbon wheelset or a high-performing training set to preserve more exclusive Strada or Baccara wheels.

Its 1.5 mm Offset creates an asymmetric spoke layout that better balances tension between both sides. This architecture improves lateral stiffness, stability and build reliability without a weight penalty. On a wheel designed to ride fast and cover many kilometres, this even spoke tension directly contributes to consistent behaviour over time.

The Hooked construction is suited to road tyre pressures. The hooks provide optimal mechanical bead retention while maintaining straightforward compatibility with modern tyres.

AntiBurp reinforces this security: its internal ridges lock the tyre beads in place, limit air loss under side loads and reduce the risk of tyre unseating, even in the event of a puncture.

Core RR 50 is also Tubeless Ready. It is compatible with UST and Tubeless Ready standards, supplied with DUKE sealing tape and a tubeless valve, and remains compatible with a conventional inner-tube setup.

The result is an accessible deep-section carbon road wheel, designed to carry speed, cover plenty of miles and deliver the feel of DUKE carbon without the complexity or budget of our Elite and Performance ranges.
