DUKE Road TPU Inner Tube

While tubeless has become the standard at the highest level of road racing, TPU inner tubes have come a long way and now offer a credible alternative for demanding riders.

Weighing just 43 to 44 g depending on valve length (± 1 g), our new second-generation TPU inner tube comes in at around the weight of the sealant used in tubeless setups.

Exceptionally flexible, this material follows the tyre as it deforms, helping to reduce energy losses. The best TPU inner tubes can therefore achieve rolling resistance figures close to those of a tubeless setup.

That flexibility comes with high mechanical strength, improved puncture resistance, and good tensile and heat resistance.

An inner-tube setup also retains its practical benefits: no sealant to top up, no liquid spraying out in the event of a puncture, and straightforward tube replacement.

Our TPU inner tube also offers excellent air retention, helping maintain stable tyre pressure over time. Its aluminium Presta valve, with a removable and replaceable core, also makes maintenance easier.

Compatible with 700C × 25–35 mm road tyres and all road rims except carbon rim-brake wheels, it comes in five valve lengths to suit different rim depths: 51, 57 and 63 mm at 43 g, plus 71 and 80 mm at 44 g. The TPU material is also 100% recyclable.

Its compact size makes it easy to carry on the bike as a spare, even for riders running tubeless.

Use and precautions

• Do not inflate above 0.5 bar / 7 psi outside the tyre.
• Not for use with carbon rim-brake wheels.
• Use only TPU-compatible patches for repairs.
• Follow the pressure limits specified by the tyre and rim manufacturers.
